Brand new for 2025, we are extremley excited to launch Worrall Production Co. Alongside our two show in a week theatre workshops this year we will be offering a brand new, not-for-profit theatre venture giving young performers the oppurtunity to practise, perfect and perform in a real working theatre.
We are looking for talented young performers (8 years old and over) to join the cast of Finding Nemo: The Musical. After we hold our auditions in January we will form a cast who can rehearse throughout the first half of the year working towards a run of 6 performances in August which will be performed at the Buzz theatre in Woking. This will work very similar to ameture dramatics for adults with regular evening and weekend rehearsals over the months and coming together for a run of shows. There will be a small fee for anyone who is cast and participates of £50 which will cover costumes, public liability and show licences and then we will look to sell tickets to the shows to cover the cost of the venue hire.
Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (Frozen). Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.
Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Finding Nemo JR. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.
This will not be a show in a week. Rehearsals will take place on the dates below. If successful through the audition process, you may not be required for all the rehearsals but we ask that you keep the dates free in case you are called. The full cast will be required to be at the theatre the week of the production. All rehearsal and show dates can be found at the bottom of this page.
To be a part of this exciting new project then please send us a video of you singing one of the following songs:
Go With The Flow
That's My Dad
Just Keep Swimming
Big Blue World
And reading one of the following monologues:
Marlin
Nemo
Dory
Bruce
Crush
Please send your audition tapes by the 19th January 2025. Audition material can be found below.
For our performances of Finding Nemo we plan to use two Ensembles. So if you would like to be involved but perhaps might not want to be a main character you can audition for our ensemble.
We plan to use two casts of ensembles. We will alternate ensembles between the six performances and the ensembles will not be needed at every rehearsal. So this would be a great way to get involved without being a lead character.
